The problem
The Kenya Artificial Intelligence Strategy 2025-2030 names talent development as a core enabler. Technical courses matter, but the decisions that determine whether AI serves the public are taken by people who approve budgets, sign contracts and answer to Parliament, county assemblies and supervisors. They need a working grasp of what AI can and cannot do, what the Data Protection Act, 2019 requires and which questions to put to vendors. Bank and SACCO boards carry accountability for models that score and screen customers.
Leaders need judgement, not code. They must decide when an impact assessment is needed, how to read a vendor's accuracy claim, what the Artificial Intelligence Bill, 2026 would mean for their institution and how to respond when a data breach reaches the press. Training built on Kenyan law and cases builds that judgement faster than generic courses, and courses that stop at concepts leave those decisions to vendors.

How we work
Needs assessment
We establish participants' roles, the decisions they take and the systems their institution uses or plans, and set learning outcomes accordingly.
Curriculum design
We build modules on AI and data fundamentals, Kenyan law and policy, risk and procurement, and the use of evidence in decisions, with Kenyan cases throughout.
Delivery
We run short, intensive sessions for executives and boards and longer cohorts for senior managers, in person or online, with exercises drawn from participants' own institutions.
Applied assignment
Participants apply the material to a live question, such as a use-case screen or a vendor review, with written feedback from our team.
Assessment and follow-up
We assess learning against the agreed outcomes and hold follow-up clinics as institutions put the material into practice.

Questions clients ask
Do participants need a technical background?
No. The programme assumes no coding or statistics and concentrates on the questions leaders must ask and the decisions they must take.
Can the training be tailored to a single institution?
Yes. In-house programmes are built around the institution's own systems and data and the obligations that apply to its sector.
